C.E.R.S.A. is a charitable organization, formed in 2022 and founded by the late Charles Edward Robinson’s beloved wife Doris Flanders Robinson. Mr. Robinson was a devout Bassist who played solely for the love he had for music. He relished in playing notes and chords that embodied various beats and sounds, including Jazz, Gospel, Rhythms and Blues.
At the tender age of thirteen, he was allowed to play in an R&B band. That opportunity opened up his eyes to a world of music that lasted throughout his lifetime, bringing him and those who heard him play a world of joy and peace. Because he had a chance to follow his dream, we want up-and-coming musicians to have an opportunity to follow their dream. Our objective is to provide deserving students a chance to further their music education and provide a platform for musicians to perform. Our deepest desire is to educate, inspire, and motivate music students to pursue music by empowering them with some of the tools they need to succeed in this art.
Our board of directors consist of 9 (nine) members. Each member has a love for music, some of them musicians, and all of them have a heart and a connection to C.E.R.S.A. We are committed to giving a hand up and a hand out to deserving middle to high school students wanting to pursue music.
C.E.R.S.A. is organized exclusively for public, charitable, and/or educational purposes under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
